Clinical Microbiomics is a rapidly growing company at the forefront of human microbiome research, and we are looking for a colleague to anchor and manage our internal software development. The core of this position is to develop and internally communicate the use of our proprietary R-based analysis framework and our data resources/databases.

In doing this, your overall goal will be to boost efficiency, quality, and knowledge sharing by integrating and improving early implementations of tools and scripts to production-grade quality. This means understanding the needs of our scientists and translating these needs into specific solutions and processes and ensuring company-wide adoption and understanding of these processes. To do this successfully, you excel in project management and understand how to organize and drive software projects.
We are looking for a candidate with the following profile and qualifications:
Required qualifications:
- 5+ years experience with R/tidyverse, including package development
- Proactive and creative solution finder with enthusiasm for developing efficient software
- Full professional proficiency in English
Advantageous qualifications:
- A relevant MSc. degree, such as data science, bioinformatics, or similar
- Experience in bioinformatics and/or scientific computing
- Experience with DevOps, Git, Unix/Linux, Python, and/or container runtime environments (e.g. Docker)
