Open position: Data scientist for metabolomics team

Would you like to contribute to advancing the development of metabolomics in the field of microbiome research?

Clinical Microbiomics is a fast-growing entrepreneurial contract research organization consisting of four companies: Clinical Microbiomics, CosmosID, DNASense and MS-Omics.

We are looking for a data scientist for MS-Omics – a leading metabolomics provider. MS-Omics combines first-class analytical and data processing services to provide a broad range of metabolomics platforms that support Life Science research. Our mission is to aid our customers in gaining a deeper insight into the underlying mechanisms of their studies.

We are looking for candidates with the following profile and qualifications:

As an ideal candidate you have a background as an analytical scientist with a flair for programming and data processing, or you are e.g. a bioinformatician, who has previously worked with LC-HRMS/MS data.

Required qualifications:

  • A relevant PhD or min three years of relevant work experience.
  • A wish for working collaboratively in a small team.
  • Experience within metabolomics or non-target screening of small molecules.
  • Experience with chromatographic data originating from LC-HRMS/MS.

Experience within some of the following fields would be an advantage:

  • Chemometrics or statistics.
  • System biology.
  • Laboratory work or detailed insight into laboratory workflows.
  • One or more of these software tools: MetaboScape, Compound Discoverer, GNPS, MATLAB, R, Python, or databases.
  • Working in GxP regulated environments.

On a personal level, you must be able to work independently and display a high-quality mindset. Our customers are often scientists from other scientific disciplines working on a diversity of different projects so good communication skills are required for the position. We expect that you truly enjoy working with metabolomics.

It is important that you are a team player and enjoy interacting with colleagues and customers. You have great problem-solving abilities, understand the advantages of mutual respect, have a positive mindset, and like to have a good laugh.
